Why do you feel that the authors of these readings were specifically chosen for us to read? What do you feel separates Mitchell, McLuhan, and Borgmann from any other person with an opinion or a background in architecture?

  1. The readings that were chosen for this session were designed to wet our feet, to get us thinking about the issues of the changing architectural environment.
The authors of the readings are a lot more opened minded than may architect that I have met. The authors are aware of the effects our build environments, both real and virtual, have on the mood and the overall actions of people.

  2. I completely agree. Along with the authors being more openminded, I feel that they reached a level of depth that may not have been expressed had we not read the authors' works. The conversations about virtual worlds replacing reality may not have been thought about.
